Questions before getting started?

How should I prepare for my initial consultation?

Think about your medical history, allergies, past cosmetic treatments and any questions you may have about your cosmetic treatment. You will be required to present photo ID before your treatment.
 

Will I need a prescription?

 

We can arrange a prescription for you during your consultation. Please note for all clients there is a $30 charge for your prescription. Scripts are required because non-surgical cosmetic treatments are classified as Schedule 4 drugs, meaning they must be prescribed to you by a medical practitioner. 

 

A script will be valid for 1 year, which means within that year you are able to have treatments with no additional scripting fees. After 1 year, a new script will be required. Therefore, a charge of $30 will re-occur.

How can I benefit from reducing the appearance of wrinkles?

 

This treatment aims to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They can correct facial asymmetry, prevent future deep line formation, reduce sweat and ease muscle tension.

How can I benefit from volume restoration?

 

This aims to provide structural support and volume enhancement to achieve a youthful, plump, framed and contoured appearance.

How long will my volume treatment last?

 

Volume restoring treatments generally last 6-18 months.

Results may vary due to individual factors. 

How long will my wrinkle reducing treatment last?

 

These treatments generally take 1-2 weeks for results to fully develop and can last up to 3-4 months. Results and longevity depend on the amount administered and vary due to individual factors.

Can I have cosmetic treatment if I am pregnant or breast feeding?

 

It is not recommended to receive cosmetic treatment during pregnancy or when you are breastfeeding. There is very limited research and no data to suggest that these treatments are safe during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding. This is why any trained cosmetic practitioner will not perform cosmetic treatments on you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. 

What are the potential risks and side effects?

 

All cosmetic treatments contain potential risks and side effects. At Aesthetic Cosmetics with Ioanna we value safety highly, your experienced cosmetic injector will explain the potential risks and side effects in detail during your consultation and ensure you have an understanding and that your questions are answered prior to treatment.

 

Will I be refunded my consultation fee if I am not a suitable candidate for treatment?

We believe that consultation fees are essential. The fees reflect the expertise and time invested in thoroughly evaluating each client’s suitability for cosmetic treatment.

Clients may be declined treatment if we determine it is not in their best interest. If this occurs, clients will not be refunded the consultation fee.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

 

Once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. ​To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.

 

A non-refundable deposit/fee of $60 is required to secure your appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, miss your appointment or cancel/reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, your payment is kept and another must be made to secure your next booking.

 

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, miss your appointment or choose to cancel/reschedule within 48 hours and you have not made a deposit, you will be charged a $60 cancellation fee. This will be deducted from the credit/debit card given upon booking. Please note, further bookings will be restricted until you have paid all outstanding balances.

“Late cancellations” means any clients who cancels or reschedules an appointment less than 48 hours before their scheduled appointment. "No shows" means any client who fails to arrive for a scheduled appointment. In the event a client has incurred three (3) "late cancellations" and/or "no shows", the client may be subject to dismissal from Aesthetic Cosmetics with Ioanna.

 

We understand there may be times when an unforeseen emergency occurs and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If you experience extenuating circumstances please contact Ioanna directly.

What products do you use?

Unfortunately, due to our industry regulations, we are unable to publicise the brands that we use online or on social media. This is because cosmetic treatments are classified as prescription drugs. You are more than welcome to contact us or book in a consultation to discuss the products we use and to assess whether these products are right for you.

Will my cosmetic treatment hurt?

 

Pain tolerance varies between individuals. Clients usually find wrinkle treatment tolerable. 

 

Volume restoring treatment is known to be more painful, so before these procedures we offer a numbing cream and various distraction devices. Most volume restoring treatments contain a local anaesthetic which is known to improve comfort levels without compromising effectiveness or longevity. 

If you are worried about pain, please speak with your friendly cosmetic injector prior to treatment.

Where is the price list?

Strict industry regulations prohibit the advertisement of prices for cosmetic treatments. Please do not hesitate to contact us or book in a bespoke cosmetic consultation where we will explain treatment fees in detail.

Where are your before and after photos?

Strict industry regulations prohibit the advertisement of cosmetic procedures including before and after photos. During your face-to-face consultation, you are more than welcome to view our cosmetic treatment portfolio.

How can I pay?

We accept EFTPOS, Afterpay and cash payments in-store.

Please note there is a 1.6% surcharge to all EFTPOS transactions.

Do you offer ‘buy now, pay later’ options?

Yes, we accept Afterpay for in-store purchases.

 

What can I expect after my cosmetic treatment?

You will be provided with post care instructions

following your treatment.
